If you wished to save me in either instance it would require having such foresight and alacrity as to prevent the events or appear at the right moment to divert their course, if any of us had such powers of prescience we would all be in a better situation.
Instead we have ever relied on splitting up and trusting one another to do their part. It served us well for eons, until it did not. That is not your failing.
