Someone simply once described to me that gaining memories is having the rug pulled from under you. The blocks you built for yourself tumbling down.

What you come up with now simply might not align after you've learned what your memories hold.

I could simply choose not to regain my memories at all.

And you would simply be duller for it.

Would I really? I would say there are advantages to not reliving a painful past.

Painful as it might be, there must be one person within your memories worth remembering. Would you truly wish to forget them for all eternity?

...If it is someone I will meet again, I can simply make new memories.

Well, now you are truly trying my patience.

Imagine how much worse it will get if I start remembering more!

Regardless, I would rather you have them than not. Even if it does lead to my increased irritation.
