I'm sorry to repeat myself, but... Why? The other two never divulged the particulars to me, so I've no idea of the situation.

We cannot risk any harm coming to Him. As foolish as Hydaelyn and Her servants are, they understand as much as well. While the wards keep Him bound, they also protect Him.

So that is why you've decided on Rejoinings in the end...

That, and we could hardly just leave the world in its broken state.

Mainly... merging each person's shards one by one. Slower, but likely safer, yes?

That... would be inordinately slow. Rather than thousands of years, it might take millions.

Furthermore, it would not resolve the issue of the land itself being sundered.

I imagine it would not in fact be so slow, given how quickly mortals die. If there was a way to intercept their souls before they are reborn, and instead direct them to the Source... Though I suppose you are right about the land. Would that I had been there to see how it works in detail... Even land is merely aether, after all.
