[just quietly cuddles for a few moments before,]

...A few days ago, I was asked a question that gave me some pause.

...What was it?

Whether I love Emet-Selch.

I do, of course. I love both of you. But the context was... different.

And what was your answer?

I was not able to give one in the moment, for defining that emotion in words seems an impossible task.

Then what are your thoughts? Perhaps you can find the words as you speak.

[speaking slowly and hesitantly because feelings are confusing and talking about them like this still feels like something he shouldn't actually be doing]

I want to take care of you and guide you. I want to see you smile. I want you to have everything you want, but I want to have you all to myself. I want to be close to your body and heart and soul, always.

[Honestly his arms around Elidibus might be too tight.]

It is a very similar feeling for me. The two of you are indispensable in my life and my heart. I wish for your happiness, to see you thrive, and yet I am jealous of those that might hold your attention.

[that's fine because he's holding on right as well]

Is that love?

I wonder if it could be anything else?

I love you. I love you so much.

[He squeezes him tighter, fingers curling in at the small of his back.]

And I love you, Elidibus. So very much. My heart has been incomplete without you.

[not saying anything else, just stroking at his hair, his neck, his back - just needing to feel him]

[He lifts a hand to run through Elidibus's hair while the other arm stays locked around his waist. He looks at him quietly for a long time, just laying together like this, and then kisses him on the lips gently.

It's chaste, simply lip to lip, but lingering and soft before he pulls back to examine his expression more.]

[sighs at the kiss, closing his eyes in satisfaction, but opening them again when it ends.

he takes a moment, just contemplating quietly, before leaning in to kiss lahabrea in turn]

[His eyes stay open, fixed on Elidibus. Petting his cheek with his thumb and then cupping it to hold him close enough to lean their foreheads together.

He has nothing particular to say in this moment, just looking at Elidibus and holding him tightly.]

[looking back at him, expression uncertain but happy. he feels like he should say something, but can find no words so he's just remaining quiet as well]

[Well! Good. Really it is hard to think of words. He traces Elidibus's cheek under his eye with his thumb, back and forth a moment before letting his thumb brush over cheek and jaw.]

I love you. So very much.

[running his fingers through lahabrea's hair, again and again]

I... did not think I could feel so happy.

Now, that just gives me a goal to ensure that you ever find new ways to experience happiness.

[He grins, pressing his palm to the small of Elidibus's back to pull him closer.]

And to encourage you in finding and demanding the things you want.

[presses closer to him with a faint huff of a laugh]

Did I not already mention quite a few things I want?

Quite a list, yet then again, hardly much of one. I think you can add to it, though you have plenty of time to ponder what to append.

For now, at least, I have nothing to add. I am perfectly satisfied.

Then I suppose I should not tease you too much just in the moment, if only to let you enjoy it.

You could try not teasing me at all.
