I guess they'll still attack even in dreams... great. Well, can't say it'll be boring. Say, do you remember if any of these buildings have an archive in them?

There must have been some kind of an archive, but I do not think I ever knew where it was.

It will likely be mostly records of the various creations that were tested here. Which might be interesting, yes, but not exactly the type of reading one would do for recreation.

What? I've only seen part of it. I was just curious.

I didn't even see an actual archive until I went to Ishgard... my clan records all our history orally, in songs and poems. I've been thinking of doing the same, for this place... but it's hard to come up with the right words.

Amaurot was a city of spoken and written word both. There were many libraries and archives housing records of all manner - texts, sounds, memories. Knowledge and culture spanning the length of your history a thousand times over.

Maybe. I won't say there weren't other things involved, but for me... well, like I said earlier: I made a promise. To remember. And for me, that means keeping your memory in my heart. And those memories are precious to me, even when they're painful.

At the end of the day, you were someone who was fighting fiercely for the love of a home and people that you lost. How could I not find that sympathetic? How could I say I wouldn't be the same if I was in your position? Even if we couldn't reconcile our ideals in the end... I owed it to you to try to understand. I respected you, even if I hated you, too. I don't think our reasons for fighting were all that different.

...You are not wrong.

It is painful, though, opposing someone you can sympathise with. I suppose that is why I find myself trying to deny the notion even now.
